Who we are

Fontson is a curated index of typefaces explored through the real websites that use them, built and maintained by Emin İmamoğlu. It is available at fontson.com. This policy explains what personal data Fontson collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

You can browse the entire site without an account, and we collect no personal information when you do.

If you sign in Fontson offers an optional free account using Sign in with Google. When you choose to sign in, Google shares a limited profile with us: your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password, and we request no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.

What you create Once signed in, you can mark typefaces as owned or favorited. We store these preferences, linked to your account, so the index can be filtered down to your own shortlist across sessions and devices.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to operate the service: to authenticate you, keep you signed in, and remember the typefaces you have marked. We do not sell your personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Where your data is stored

Authentication and account data are handled by Supabase, our backend and authentication provider. The site is hosted on Vercel. Sign-in is provided by Google. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies, linked above.

Cookies

When you sign in, we store a session token in your browser so you stay logged in. This is strictly necessary for the account feature to work. Fontson does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can stop using the account feature at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and all associated data, including your stored owned and favorited typefaces. Deletion is permanent.

To request deletion, or to ask any question about your data, email hello@fontson.com from the address associated with your account.

Children

Fontson is intended for a general, professional audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
